Painting, Surfing & Nasi Goreng - Bali & Lombok

This year’s painting adventure took me to the islands of Bali and Lombok. Lush rice terraces, towering volcanoes, and quiet traditional farming and fishing villages provided great painting inspiration.

I explored the smaller islands of Lembongan and Ceningan off Bali, and the Gili Islands off Lombok, where painting sessions were happily followed with swims, snorkelling, and a bit of surfing.

A staple diet of Bintang beer and Nasi Goreng soon became the norm, a bit different to the Cornish pasty!
